Itinerary
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative and Driver Guide. If you wish to change money into the local currency it would be advisable if you do it while at the airport. You will then be transferred to your city hotel. Overnight at Eka Hotel (Bed & Breakfast)
After breakfast your driver guide will pick you latest 7.30 am and depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve driving along the floor of the Rift Valley. You will take a brief stop at Kijabe viewpoint for a few shots of this amazing natural phenomenon. Proceed on via the towns Mai Mahiu and further on past Narok town to arrive at Mara Bush Camp in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives in Masai Mara Game Reserve as per your convenience. Masai Mara Game Reserve is one of the best National Reserves in Africa and offers superb game viewing opportunities throughout the year. Meals and overnight at Mara Bush Camp (Full Board Basis)
Full days in the Masai Mara Game Reserve with unlimited game drives thus your driver / guide will organize packed breakfast or lunch if you like. You could also enjoy just a morning and afternoon game drive if you prefer or simply go out for a longer morning game drive or even a full day game drive as explained above. Meaning dotted plains in the Masai language, Mara is a vast area with scattered pockets of acacia woodland inhabiting a wide variety of fauna. It offers breathtaking views as seen in the Film ‘Out of Africa’ much of which was filmed here. The Mara is also the staging ground for the great Migration, one of the most awe-inspiring natural events in the world. Meals and overnight at Mara Bush Camp (Full Board Basis)
After breakfast, depart for Lake Victoria with picnic lunches driving eastwards towards the Kenya - Tanzania border with a game drive enroute. On arrival at Isebania border post, you will swap the vehicles and take the Tanzanian registered vehicle. You will be assisted by your driver guide through the border crossing process and thereafter proceed on to arrive at Speke Bay Lodge in the afternoon. Spend rest of the afternoon at leisure. The Speke Bay Lodge is located on the southeastern shore of Lake Victoria in Tanzania. The Speke Bay is part of Speke Gulf, named after the famous explorer John Hanning Speke. Surrounded by savannah landscape is the Lodge looks like a small village, stretched out along the shores of the lake. Meals and overnight at Speke Bay (Full Board Basis)
After breakfast, drive to the famous Serengeti National Park to arrive at your Camp for lunch. After lunch, proceed on your first unlimited game drive in Tanzania in search of wildlife. Serengeti is one of the most unique wilderness areas of the world, fantastic in its natural beauty and unequalled in its scientific value. This park is a vast expanse of land with a large concentration of plains animals. It also contains a wide variety of bird-life inhabiting a diversity of habitat and vegetation. One of the most unique remarkable scenes is the annual migration of wildebeest, zebras, giraffe, gazelle, buffalo and other plains animals. After an early breakfast, we drive south to the magnificent Ngorongoro crater via Olduvai Gorge with picnic lunches.
Based on fossil evidence found at the Olduvai Gorge, it is known that various hominid species have occupied the area for 3 million years
The annual wildbeest and zebras migration passes through the Ngoro Ngoro Conservation , with moving south into the area in December and moving north in June. This movement changes seasonally with the rains, but the migration will traverse almost the entire plains in search of food. The has a healthy resident population of most species of wildlife, in particular the Ndutu Lake area to the west has strong cheetah and lion populations. Full day in Serengeti with unlimited game drives in the Park with packed breakfast or lunch if you like. You could also enjoy just a morning and afternoon game drive if you prefer or simply go out for a longer morning game drive or full day game drive. After breakfast, check out from the camp and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive en-route to arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Proceed for an afternoon game drive in the conservation area. Your driver will stop at the OLDUVAI GORGE for a short trip back into history, about the evolution of mankind, also known as the cradle of mankind. Afternoon at leisure or you could enjoy the various lodge facilities. The lodge also offers a spectacular view into the crater and you could enjoy this over a cup of coffee / tea. Depart the lodge with picnic breakfast and lunch for a full day game drive down to the 600m deep crater. The crater has an incomparably high game density and is 20 km in diameter with one of the largest calderas in the world. He is known as one of the last refuges to living here with the black rhino. Here we see elephants, lions, buffaloes, rhinos and all grazers of the plains. The bird life here is very interesting. You will then depart for Lake Manyara National Park at approx. 1600 Hrs, known for its tree climbing lions. You will arrive at the Lodge in time for dinner. Early morning game drives in the Lake Manyara National Park until early afternoon. The Lake Manyara National Park offers not only the wild wealth of the other northern parks, but has a breathtaking location and the main attractions are tree climbing lions and hippos, to which one comes closer than elsewhere. But above all, the many flamingos that inhabit the lake offer fantastic setting. Then you would visit the village MTO WA MBU where you can experience a traditional lunch at "Mamas". Later in the afternoon head back to Arusha. Your driver could take you to a local restaurant of your choice for dinner (payable direct) and then proceed to the airport for your flight back home or to your onward flight to Zanzibar for a beach extension (Optional
